April 8 - BHS Concert in Park at Amphitheater
The Bristow H.S. Band will put on a Concert in the Park at
the Amphitheater on Saturday, April 8th at 2:30pm. This is a “thank you” to
the community for all their assistance with the Band Booster Auction and
making it a success. The program will include Patriotic and Disney music.

April 6-8 - Wild Horse & Burro Adoption at Creek County Fairgrounds
The
US Bureau of Land Management offers wild horses and burros for adoption.
These are animals that roam free on public lands in the West and are
protected by federal law. When overpopulation occurs, excess animals are
removed from the range, to maintain herd health and to protect fragile desert
ecosystems. These animals are then made available to the public for adoption.
Application approval required (can be done on the spot). Minimum adoption fee
for most animals is $125.
Schedule
Thursday: 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Preview animals and application approval
Friday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Competitive bid adoption begins at 10 a.m.;
Walk up adoptions follow until 6 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. - noon Walk-up adoptions continue

Poker Run by Oklahoma Route
66 Association
9:00am to 2:00pm - Start at Ollie's Station
Restaurant In Red Fork (west Tulsa);
end at StableRidge Winery in Stroud.
Stops:
Ollie's, Sunrise Grill in Sapulpa;
Russ' Ribs and Granny's Emporium in Bristow; Spangler's Grocery in Depew; Shoe Tree Trading Post and Rock Cafe in Stroud;
and Stableridge Winery in Stroud.
$17 for 3 poker hands; each additional hand $5. Association
members receive $5 discount per vehicle. Children's trivia contest: one free
entry for every 3 poker hands; additional entry $2.

Apr 22 - Brewster Ranch's
2006 Semi-Annual Charity Trail Ride - PAWS
This trail ride will benefit Paws, Inc, Bristow's non-profit
animal rescue organization. Paws, Inc. is dedicated to finding adoptive homes
for unwanted pets in Creek
County, and to the spay
neuter program
which decreases the unwanted pet population.

April 29 - Central-Tech Job Fair for First Wave
Interviews will be open to the general public as we seek the
right individuals for up to 25 full-time jobs in the new First Wave Bristow
manufacturing facility. These are high quality positions offering competitive
wages plus benefits and a friendly, professional working environment.
First Wave is a premiere provider of maintenance, repair and
overhaul services for the aviation industry. Applicants must be able to
attend training classes for three weeks prior to employment and meet other
pre-employment requirements including those listed in job descriptions. First
Wave is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Apr 29 - Art Attack Murder Mystery by Education

can be murder! But it can also be fun. The Bristow Education Foundation is
proving that to be true once again with their fundraiser murder mystery
dinner "Art Attack" - a high society murder mystery directed by Pam
Reeder. On Friday night, april 29th, at the Bristow National Guard Armory, as
you dine at our famous Gourmet Burger Bar and Beverages, a story of
"Murder" and "Intrigue" will unfold. With a cast of many
local "characters", the evening will prove to be nonstop hilarity.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., the show begins at 7:00 p.m. We invite you to
become a Patron of this evening; there are three levels of sponsorship,
portions of which are tax deductible. Alcohol will be served at this adult

April 29 - 1st Annual BIG COUNTRY Team Roping -
USTRC Affiliate
Make plans to be at the Brewster Ranch Arena for this exciting
weekend. 1,000 Roping Teams expected to attend!
Information about classes, entry fees, etc. will be posted
on the Brewster
Ranch website soon, so check back often.
Guidelines: Trailer parking is 2nd
entrance. RV spots available. Contestant barns available and have men and
women's shower facilities.
