Raised
as a farm girl, Kayla got her“kids” mixed
up when she was assigned the job of bringing the Boss’
“kid” to his wife’s garden party.
She picked up the “kid” and dropped off
the little darling just as Bertha O’Bray’s
prize roses were unveiled. And roses just happened to
be the kidd’s favorite – Billy the Kidd,
as in billy goat. And it got rough as little Billy made
the charge and downed the beautiful bounty in a ravenous
fury. And Billy got Boss gruff. Kayla and the Kidd have
been hiding out in the barn so that little Billy doesn’t
end up on the menu as the main course and she doesn't
become served up as a shish kabob by Nick the Knife.
She wants to win this Knocktoff auction and appease
the Boss with the painting, collect the cash and make
a dash for the country and buy her and little Billy
a barn of their own.
